'Meet Marist' The Night Before The High School Entrance Exam

Eighth grade students and their parents are invited to Marist High School for a presentation and tour of the building on Friday, Nov. 30.

CHICAGO, IL — “Meet Marist” the night before the big high school entrance exam on Friday, Nov. 30. Eighth grade students and their parents are invited to Marist High School for a presentation and tour of the building starting at 6:30 p.m. The entrance exam for Chicago-area Catholic high schools will take place Saturday, Dec. 1.

The “Meet Marist” event offers an abbreviated look at the school, but still includes all the highlights of the campus. Prospective families can enjoy a personal and informative
evening with faculty, coaches, students, and administrators. Enter at the main office at the west
end of the building.

The entrance exam for current eighth grade students will take place on Saturday, Dec. 1.
Students should arrive at 8 a.m. and enter through the gym doors, located at the east end
of the school. Online registration is available now on the school website, however pre-
registration is not required. There is a $25 test fee due the day of the test; cash and checks or
money orders to Marist High School are accepted. Students should bring two No. 2 pencils, Calculators are not permitted.

The approximate dismissal time is 12:15 p.m. Marist High School administers the HSPT Entrance Exam and study guides for this exam may be purchased at local bookstores or found online. The 300-question multiple choice exam tests students in verbal skills, math, quantitative skills, language, and reading.
