Meeting On St. Walter School Is Wednesday

CHICAGO - The future of St. Walter School in the Morgan Park neighborhood will be the topic of a meeting planned for Wednesday night at the school. The Archdiocese of Chicago has called the meeting set to begin at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 7 at 11741 S. Western Ave.

The meeting is to "review the current budgetary needs of St. Walter School and how the deficit impacts the future of the school," according to an announcement of the planned community meeting.

"It is critical that that parents, parishioners and members of the community attend the meeting and show support for the school," the Archdiocese wrote. "School families feel that the school is more than just a building or a 'bottom line,' and that the Archdiocese needs to see that the parish is willing to come together to support the future of the school."
