Memorial Day Mass At St. Barnabas Will Honor Fallen Heroes
The outdoor mass will begin at 4 p.m. Sunday on the lawn of the St. Barnabas Convent.

CHICAGO, IL - A Memorial Day Mass at St. Barnabas will honor the fallen heroes of the United States Armed Forces on Sunday. The 19th Ward Youth Foundation will host the annual event at 4 p.m. on Sunday, May 27 on the lawn of the St. Barnabas Convent at 10161 S. Longwood Dr., 19th Ward Ald. Matt O'Shea said in an email to ward residents on Saturday.
"Please join us in honoring the brave men and women who gave their lives to protect the very freedom we enjoy and remember the true purpose of Memorial Day," O'Shea wrote in the email.
Volunteers are still sought to help setup for the mass. Anyone available to help should meet at the St. Barnabas parking lot at 12:15 p.m.

"If you are available to help, many hands make for light work," O'Shea said.
