In her final days, she talked to Taylor Swift, became an honorary cop, went to prom and had a street named for her—events many would call fleeting, while her impact on the community is immeasurable.

A public memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Emily Beazley’s name may be made to Emily Beazley’s Demand for a Cure, www.cureitfoundation.org or Emily’s most favorite place on Earth: Camp Quality IL, PO Box 641 in Lansing, Illinois.
