Mercy Circle Serves As Drop-Off Site For Pat's Pantry Food Drive
Mercy Circle joins 19th Ward officials in offering extended hour, food drop-off site for Pat's Pantry food drive June 1 through June 7.
CHICAGO — Mercy Circle will join Ald. Matt O’Shea, Illinois State Senator Bill Cunningham, State Representative Fran Hurley and the Mt. Greenwood Community and Business Association to support Pat’s Pantry with a community food drive.
Area residents may drop off non-perishable food and toiletry items at Mercy Circle, at 3659 W. 99th St., Wednesday, June 1, through Tuesday, June 7, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Boxes to deposit donations are available inside the main entrance at 3659 W. 99th Street in Chicago. To benefit Pat’s Pantry, Mercy Circle residents and staff members will deliver all donations on Wednesday, June 8, to the Mt. Greenwood Community Church.
“We are eager to support the 19th Ward’s important community outreach as well as to thank Kathy Turney, who established Pat’s Pantry in her son’s memory. In addition to all she does to reduce food insecurity, Kathy brightens our residents’ lives by teaming up with area school children to create special cards for them for all the holidays,” says Mercy Circle executive director Frances Lachowicz. “We hope providing a drop-off location makes it easier for our neighbors to support Kathy’s good work.”
