Mom of Three Was Strangled, Medical Examiner Says
Death of young mom whose body was found in an East Chatham home along with her three sons has been classified as a homicide.

The cause of death for the 28-year-old woman whose decomposed body was found inside an East Chatham home along with her three young sons has been ruled a homicide, says a Cook County official.
The Cook County Medical Examiner attributed the cause and manner of death for Latoya Jack ligature strangulation. Her death has now been ruled a homicide, spokesman Frank Shuftan said.
Shuftan said the information has been provided to Jackson’s family.

The bodies of Jackson and her three sons, 11-year-old Andrew; 9-year-old Cameron; and 5-year-old Cantrell, 5, were found July 18 inside a home in the 8300 block of South Drexel, Chicago.
The cause and manner of death for the three boys remains pending. The medical examiner continues to work with the family to confirm identification of the children, Shuftan said.
