CHICAGO — Circle the date of Friday, Oct. 13 when members of Mother McAuley Liberal Arts High School’s class of 1973 will gather for their 50th reunion. A whole weekend of activities is being planned. The reunion will be held at the high school, 3737 W. 99th St., Chicago.

In 1973, the most popular television show was “All In the Family,” Tony Orlando’s “Tie A Yellow Ribbon” was the year’s No. 1 song, Boo Berry cereal was invented, and the United States ended its involvement in Vietnam. The nostalgia movie “American Graffiti,” about high school kids coming of age in 1962, was one of the year’s cultural touchstones.

Tell your classmates to meet you at the reunion. Make sure the McAuley alumnae office has your contact information, so you can stay in the loop as reunion activities are announced.
