Mother's Day Brunch Options In Beverly/Mt. Greenwood/Morgan Park

CHICAGO, IL — Mother's Day is right around the corner. That means it's time to start making plans for Mother's Day brunch. Fortunately, the neighborhood has more than enough options for you to be able to pick the one mom will love. Take a look below at what's planned at eateries in the Beverly, Morgan Park and Mount Greenwood neighborhoods of Chicago on Mother's Day, May 13. We've also listed a number of good options from places in the nearby south suburbs that wouldn't be too far a drive for neighborhood residents.

IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD

Beverly, Mt. Greenwood, Morgan Park

Americanos, 11060 S. Western Ave. will have brunch from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Bacon & Jam, 3335 W. 111th St. will have a regular menu for Mother's Day brunch with regular open hours, 6:30 a.m. until 3 p.m.

Barraco's Mount Greenwood, 3047 W. 111th St. will offer a special prime rib special with vegetables beginning at 10 a.m.

Ellie's Cafe, 10701 S. Hale Ave. will give all special ladies who dine there on Mother's Day roses provided by the Geranium Guild. In addition to their regular menu, the cafe will offer lavender panna cotta as a special treat to mothers and grandmothers. Crepes will be the Sunday special - smoked salmon with cream cheese, lemon zest and a touch of horseradish and Asparagus crepes with hollandaise.

Firewater Saloon-Mt. Greenwood, 3908 W. 111th St. will have four seatings for Mother's Day brunch: 9 a.m., 10:30 a.m., noon and 1:30 p.m. 10 percent off for all participants of the Beverly Breast Cancer Walk. Reservations are recommended.

Fox's Beverly, 9956 S. Western Ave. will be open from noon to 10 p.m.

Franconello, 10222 S. Western Ave. will give all mothers dining there on Mother's Day a free glass of Trosecco wine while the restaurant is open from noon to 8 p.m.

Horse Thief Hollow, 10426 S. Western Ave. will bring back their "Pink Pom Pom" beer on Mother's Day. Brunch specials will also be offered.

Janson's Drive-In, 9900 S. Western Ave. will give all mothers who dine there a free chocolate covered strawberry during the open hours of 10:30 a.m. and 10 p.m.

Joseph's Restaurant & Bar, 3123 W. 111th St. will open early at noon for Mother's Day and have a few specials, including mimosas.

Ken's on Western, 10522 S. Western Ave. will have a special Mother's Day menu that will accompany the regular menu when they are open from 3-8 p.m.

Lumes Pancake House, 11601 S. Western Ave. will have a regular menu from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Open Outcry Brewing, 10934 S. Western Ave. will offer $1 off all Open Outcry beers for mothers on Mother's Day. Also, the kitchen will offer a special New England style shrimp roll.

Original Rainbow Cone, 9233 S. Western Ave. will give out a free small Rainbow Cone to all mothers who make a purchase on Mother's Day.

Fountain Hills' Back Nine Restaurant, 12601 S. Kedzie Ave. is offering two seatings for Mother’s Day brunch at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 pm. Brunch is $19.95 for adults, $12.95 for children under 12. Children 4 and under eat free at both sittings. Reservations are required at 708-388-4653.

Chuck's Southern Comfort Cafe, 6501 W. 79th St. is rolling out an awesome Mother's Day brunch buffet starting at 9 a.m., with the last seating at 5 p.m. The buffet includes breakfast items, soups, salads, three carving stations (ham, turkey, pork loin), main entrees, southern-style side dishes, and assorted desserts. $29.99 for adults; $15.99 for children; free for children under 3. Water's Edge Golf Club, 7205 W. 115th St. has two seatings for Mother's Day brunch at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. The menu features breakfast fare, baked chicken, roast beef, filet of salmon, bone-in-ham and turkey carving stations, sides and assorted desserts, plus a free mimosa for mom. $25.95 for adults, $11.95 children ages 6-12; children 5 and under free. Garden Chalet Banquets, 11100 S. Ridgeland Ave. is offering a Mother's Day lavish spread with a 2 p.m. seating. There are too many selections to mention, but a few of the highlights include waffles made to order, Alaskan King Crab clusters, a Chef carving beef tenderloin station, wild rice soup and Caprese salad.
