Mt. Greenwood Chamber Offers Safe Trick or Treating at Neighborhood Businesses

Mt. Greenwood Chamber 21st annual Halloween Safety Walk steps off Monday, Oct. 31.

CHICAGO, IL -- Now in its 21st glorious year, the Mt. Greenwood Chamber of Commerce’s Halloween Safety Walk from 2 to 5 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31. Kids and their parents are invited to haunt businesses along 111th Street. Kids are invited to come and haunt businesses along 111th Street.

Businesses along 111th Street from Sacramento to Drake will be passing out the sweet stuff to kids 10 and under (although we don’t think businesses will be checking IDs). In past years the streets were swarming with over 2,200 kids.

More than 7,000 maps of participating businesses have been distributed to Mt. Greenwood elementary schools. Participating businesses will have an 8X11 orange pumpkin hanging in the window.
Even moms and dads and dogs dress up and walk with with their children. (Yes, there will also be doggie treats.)
