New 'Coffee' Music Video Filmed In Beverly

Kip Russell's new music video single "Morning Cup of Coffee" is filmed at locations near his home at 99th and Longwood.

CHICAGO, IL - A new music video single from a rising Chicago artist is filmed primarily in Beverly. Musician Kip Russell recently released his third studio album, called "The Sweet Spot of Life," and its first single, "Morning Cup of Coffee," has generated a buzz for its catchy jingle about something of which most everyone can relate.

A number of scenes in the "Morning Cup of Coffee" video are filmed in Beverly, including shots at the 99th Street Metra station and outside Russell's home near 99th and Longwood.

"My wife's mom lives in Ashburn and we found Beverly and fell in love with its charm," said Russell, who grew up in north suburban Deerfield before moving to the neighborhood. "I've actually shot 7 music videos from this album and most of them feature Beverly in some faction."

The single isn't Russell's first nod to his home town. He first jumped on the local music scene with a self-released "Pulaski Day" single that helps celebrate the holiday Chicagoans continue to hold dear.

The "Coffee" music video features Russell, his wife and newborn baby and captures just how important a cup of coffee can be the start the day off the right way. It shows Russell driving a food truck, Beaver's Coffee + Donuts, in downtown Chicago as well.

Beaver's Coffee helped sponsor the video, Russell said.

“It’s a simple concept, but one so many can relate to,” Russell said of the video. “With this release, I feel like I’ve come into my own as a husband, dad and musician and I know what matters. It’s the ‘sweet’ things that bring us joy and ‘Morning Cup of Coffee’ is the perfect single to release first."
