Notre Dame vs. Army College Football: Everything You Need To Know

Kickoff time, TV, point spread, tickets, parking, traffic and more.

A disappointing season continued its freefall Saturday when Notre Dame fell to Navy 28-27.

Now the Irish are hoping to avoid defeat at the hands of another service academy at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas.

Notre Dame has won 14 in a row against Army, but streaks are made to be broken as Navy showed (The Fighting Irish had beaten the Midshipmen five consecutive times). Notre Dame’s defense allowed Navy’s ground game to flourish as the Midshipmen gained 320 yards for a 5.7 yard per carry average. Navy also scored four rushing touchdowns. One in each quarter.

Notre Dame countered with a reasonably strong performance from quarterback DeShone Kizer (19 of 27, 223 yards, 3 touchdowns, 0 interceptions), who completed eight passes for 104 yards and a score to wide receiver Torii Hunter Jr. Equanimeous St. Brown added five receptions for 62 yards and a score.

Army is also licking its wounds after a 31-12 loss to Air Force. The Black Knights’ option attack was stifled against the Falcons as Army managed only 144 yards on the ground while quarterback Ahmad Bradshaw threw for only 84 yards and two interceptions.
