Parolee Charged With Robbing Beverly Convenience Store
Man had been out on parole since June, state records say.

A man who was paroled 54 days ago is charged with robbing a Beverly convenience story Monday evening.
Bail for Keenan T. Knight, 25, who was charged with felony armed robbery, was set at $250,000. According to the charges, Knight robbed the 7-Eleven store at 2421 W. 103rd St., Chicago.

DNAInfo reported that Knight was arrested with an unnamed female accomplice.
Ald. Matt O’Shea (19th) announced the charges Wednesday in an email to constituents. Information on the Cook County Sheriff’s website indicates that the class X felony armed robbery charge did not involve a firearm.

Knight was sentenced to four years and six months for attempted aggravated robbery in the Illinois Department of Corrections in 2013. He was paroled on June 5.
O’Shea said police in nearby suburbs are also trying to determine if Knight was possibly involved in the alleged robberies of another convenience store and gas station in neighboring suburbs.
Knight is due back in court on Aug. 4.
