Police Interviewing 'Person of Interest' in 9-Year-Old Boy's Shooting Death: Reports
ABC 7 Chicago reporting that someone turned themselves into police in connection to Tyshawn Lee's shooting death.

ABC 7 Chicago is reporting a “person of interest” has turned themselves into police investigating the shooting death of a 9-year-old Gresham boy earlier this week.
Tyshawn Lee was shot at close range multiple times in an alley in the 8000 block of South Damen near his grandmother’s home late Monday afternoon. Police are trying to determine if Tyshawn was targeted by gang members or caught in gang crossfire.
The boy’s mother and other community activists have been urging community members to step forward with any information that might help police.

A reward for information leading to leading to arrest of the person or persons responsible has swelled to $35,000. Cook County Commission Sean Morrison (17th District) added $15,000 of his own money to the fund.
A similar GoFundMe campaign has also raised over $16,000 to help pay for the boy’s funeral set for Nov. 10.
