Police Release More Images from Mini-Bike vs. Pedestrian Hit and Run
Chicago police are asking for the public's help in identifying the driver of a mini-bike that ran a pedestrian down on the sidewalk.

More images from a stomach-turning surveillance video of a mini-bike violently crashing into a woman on the sidewalk have been released to the public by the Chicago Police Major Accident Investigation Unit.
Around 5:37 p.m. Oct. 10, 24-year-old Catalina Gomez was leaving her job at an auto shop in the 2900 block of East 95th Street when a man illegally riding a motorized bike on the sidewalk collided with her, police said.

The force of the collision knocked Gomez unconscious. Briefly looking into the auto shop where Gomez worked, the man started the mini-bike up again and fled the accident scene, leaving the woman lying unconscious on the sidewalk.

Gomez’s co-workers discovered her moments later. She was taken to a hospital where she was treated for a concussion and bruising.
Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the driver of the mini-bike. Anyone with information about the incident or vehicle is asked to call the Major Accident Investigation Unit at 312-745-4521.
