Prom Dress Resale Planned This Friday And Saturday At McAuley

CHICAGO (MOUNT GREENWOOD) — Say yes to the dress at Mother McAuley’s Graduation and Prom Dress Resale. Dozens of stylish worn-only-once dresses will be available for purchase. The resale boutique is open from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Jan. 24, and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25.

“As moms, we want the best for our children all the time and for some families this is the best,” said Angela Villanueva, president of McAuley's Mothers Club. “Whether your budget conscience or simply savvy with your money, this is a great opportunity for any young lady to find a dress that makes her feel beautiful and within her budget. We only accept dresses in 'like new' condition, which is why it's so worthwhile to come in and try some dresses on."

In addition to prom dresses, the mothers club will also be selling white dresses and long white gloves for McAuley's graduation. Private dressing rooms where girls can try on dresses will be available. Debit and credit cards are accepted.

This is a consignment sale, with 75 percent of sales go back to seller, and the remaining 25 percent of each dress sold going directly to McAuley's student scholarship fund.
