Publicity Club of Chicago awards SXU with three awards at 2015 Golden Trumpets

SXU's Office for Marketing and Communications takes home three Silver Trumpet awards!

The Publicity Club of Chicago (PCC) recently honored Saint Xavier University’s (SXU) Office for Marketing and Communications with three awards at the 56th Annual Golden Trumpets Awards. Marketing and Communications staff members were recognized at the June 4 ceremony, which took place at the Palmer House Hilton in Chicago.

The Office for Marketing and Communications received a Silver Trumpet in the “Communications Material – Newsletters or Magazines” category for its redesign of SXU’s Alumni Magazine, highlighting the University’s new branding and marketing campaign, which plays off the “X” in “Xavier.” The Office received two additional Silver Trumpet awards in the “Communications Material – Brochures, Booklets or Books” category for SXU’s Freshman Orientation Centered on University Services (FOCUS) Brochures and Undergraduate Viewbook. These submissions also incorporated the “X” campaign as a way to showcase that SXU is the intersection where all great things come together – tradition meets innovation, foundation meets future, and scholar meets athlete.

“We are very pleased to accept these distinguished Silver Trumpet awards and grateful to the Publicity Club of Chicago for this honor,” said Robert Tenczar, vice president for Marketing and Communications. “This recognition is a testament to the excellent work we do in an effort to communicate the lifestyle of Saint Xavier and of our students.”
