Residents Robbed at Knifepoint in Beverly, Morgan Park: Cops
Cops say robber was carrying a large knife and approached residents after they parked their cars near their homes.

Morgan Park 22nd District Police are cautioning residents to be alert and aware of their surroundings after two knife-point robberies on Dec. 23 and Dec. 27.
The residents were robbed after exiting their cars near their homes. Police said the robber approached the residents displaying a big knife and demanding money.
The robber ordered the resident to drive to an ATM to withdraw more money. In one of the incidents, the robber fled in a silver or blue crossover SUV driven by a female accomplice.

The robberies happened in the 2100 block of West 107th Place and the 9600 block of South Windsor.
Police said the robber is described as a male black in his mid-twenties, about 5’8” tall, 170 pounds and wearing a winter face covering.

The accomplice is a female black, approximately 25 years old, with shoulder-length hair and driving a blue or silver crossover vehicle.
Police offer the following safety tips:
- Be aware of your surroundings and walk in well-lit areas.
- Pay attention if you are being followed in your car before parking.
- Look out for any suspicious people loitering or watching you as you exit your car.
- When parking in your garage, close the overhead garage door and keep doors locked before exiting your vehicle.
- Keep tracking software and security locks on your cell phone.
- Never pursue a fleeing assailant, provide the information to police.
- Call 911 immediately and provide a detailed description of any suspicious people including any vehicle description and license plate information.
