Ridge Run Results Are In: See Who Finished The 10K And 5K

CHICAGO, IL - The biggest races of the year in the Beverly/Morgan Park neighborhood are back-to-back on the morning of Memorial Day, when thousands take to the tree-lined streets to participate in the Ridge Run 10K and 5K events. In one of the hottest Ridge Run events in its 41-year history, neighborhood residents helped the thousands cross the finish line by turning on their sprinklers and hoses and having their own water stations along the route.

Of note, in the 10K the third place overall finisher is a female. Erin Heenan crossed the finish line in an impressive 36 minutes, 11 seconds.

Overall winners were Eric Hoffman and Heenan for the 10K and Mathew Olech and Eleanor Odom in the 5K.

Results have also been tabbed from the "Double Challenge." Yes, some runners were brave enough to tackle both the 10K and 5K races. In fact, two of them finished both in under an hour combined time. They were Anthony Truman (54:11) and Dave Janet (56:23).
