CTA Bus Driver Sprayed With Fire Extinguisher
A 58-year-old driver was hospitalized with breathing issues after the attack at a bus stop on 79th Street Tuesday night.

CHICAGO, IL - A group of young people sprayed a fire extinguisher at a CTA bus driver on the South Side Tuesday night, sending him to the hospital.
Police said the 58-year-old male bus driver suffered from respiratory issues from the attack in the 2600 block of E. 79th Street at 8:05 p.m. He was taken to South Shore Hospital for what police described as "minor breathing issues."
The attack occurred when the driver was stopped at a bus stop to pick up passengers. The offenders, described as "an unknown group of juveniles," fled the scene and have not been captured as of 6 a.m. Wednesday.
