Fitness Center Service Team Attendant

The Tinley Park-Park District is seeking a motivated individual with good decision making skills to join the Front Counter Service Team at Tinley Fitness. This part-time position requires morning, night and some weekend hours totaling approximately 10 to 15 hours per week. Flexible availability is preferred.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• answering phones, providing information within the scope of the Fitness Center and referring inquiries to Fitness Center or Park District personnel
• processing facility memberships
• greeting members, clients and/or guests as they enter and leave the facility
• assuming responsibility for opening/closing procedures in the absence of the manager

The qualified individual should be able to communicate effectively with the public and represent the operations and policies of the district. Ability to work with a variety of computer software programs is required. Good decision making and leadership skills are a must.

Must be available for:

 Afternoon shifts 2 p.m. – 8 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays
 Evening shifts 4 p.m. – 10:15 p.m. and weekend rotations

Childcare Attendant

Tinley Fitness, a facility of The Tinley Park – Park District, is looking to hire Part Time Child
Care Attendants for day and evening shifts. This position will require approximately 8 to 12
hours per week.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Caring of children dropped off in the child care room by facility members who are participating in facility activities

• Maintaining a safe and clean environment for child care

The qualified individual should be able to communicate effectively with adults as well as
children of all ages. One year experience in a child care environment preferred. Current
CPR certification required.

Child Care Hours of Operation:
Morning Hours: 8 a.m. – Noon
Evening Hours: 4 p.m. – 8 p.m.

Laborer

Salary: $10.00 per hour / IMRF Qualified Position
Start Date: Immediate
Closing Date: open until filled

The Tinley Park – Park District is seeking a Part Time Laborer with demonstrated skills in general park maintenance duties. A maintained clean, valid Driver’s License is required.

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

• General Park Maintenance & Site Clean-Up
•  Athletic Field Maintenance
•  Snow Removal
•  Custodial Maintenance
•  Routine Tasks & Projects

Part Time hours for this position:
 Require weekend work on Saturdays and Sundays, 7 a.m. – Noon
 Weekday Winter hours range 10-25 hours/week (in addition to the required 10 weekend hours)
 Weekday Summer hours average 35 hours/week (in addition to the required 5 weekend hours)
 Scheduled hours are based on workload

The qualified individual should be well motivated, and possess good decision making and leadership skills. Must be willing to work in various weather conditions. Basic knowledge of hand tools and small machinery is a plus. Must pass pre-employment physical and drug screening.
