Saint Xavier University Opens ART Gallery in Beverly Neighborhood

Through a generous donation from Lincoln Park Homes, SXU opens a Public Art Gallery in the Beverly/Morgan Park Neighborhood!

Through the generous sponsorship of Betsy and Quentin Green with Lincoln Park Homes, Saint Xavier University’s Art Department received a rent-free storefront for an experimental Art Gallery - UpFall. It was created to merge the talents of Saint Xavier University faculty, staff, students and alumni in the act of creating public art exhibitions. Now open to the public, this Art Gallery will be a place for neighborhood folks, students in neighboring schools and the SXU community to enjoy a new art exhibit every two weeks.

UpFall is located at 95th & Wood, the corner building on the East/South Side, of the Metra tracks. You may want to take a walk over on Sunday mornings while you are shopping at the Farmer’s Market on 95th for a fresh cup of coffee from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Nathan Peck, Chair of the Art Department at Saint Xavier University states, “This is a great opportunity for our University, and we are so thankful to Lincoln Park Homes for their generosity. It will be a wonderful way for our art students to show their work in the Beverly/Morgan Park area. We are always looking for ways to branch out off campus and into this great community.”

Please join UpFall this coming Sunday, July 1st for an Opening Reception – 7:00p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
