Search On For 2024 Chicago St. Patrick's Parade Queen

Young women of Irish ancestry aged 18 to 29 have until Jan. 5 to submit applications for Chicago St. Patrick's Parade queen.

CHICAGO — The Chicago St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee has officially launched the search for the next young woman who will be crowned the queen of the Chicago St. Patrick’s Day Parade, that steps off Saturday, March 16.

Applications are now being accepted for the role of queen or a member of the queen’s court to represent Chicago’s Irish community at the annual parade and throughout the course of the year at civic events and other public appearances.

The contest is open to young women of Irish ancestry who are between the ages of 18 and 29. Applications will be accepted through Jan. 5, 2024, according to James Coyne, general chairman of Chicago’s annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade.

The queen contest and judging will be held on Jan. 14 at Plumbers Local 130, UA's Stephen M. Bailey Auditorium, 1340 W. Washington Boulevard, Chicago. The contest is sponsored by the Chicago St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee and Plumbers Local 130 UA. Young women are invited to fill out the application.
