Exhibit to Showcase Art by 19th Ward Residents

The Art 19 event at Beverly Arts Center focuses on neighborhoold talent.

The Beverly Arts Center has hosted paintings and artwork by some of the finest artists in the Midwest.

Now the facility will host a show to display some of the best neighborhood talent.

Art 19 will be a gallery dedicated to artists from the 19th Ward – Mt. Greenwood, Beverly and Morgan Park. It runs Sept. 21 through Oct. 28 with a reception at 6 p.m. Sept. 22.

“It’s in conjunction with Chicago Artists Month in October, so art organizations all over the city participate in these activities,” BAC Communications Director Grace Kuikman said. “We’re so well supported by members of the 19th Ward communities, our curator, Carla Winterbottom, said it would be a lot of fun to focus on the talent we have here at home. That fits in with the whole mission.”

Cecil McDonald, Dalton Brown, Audrius Plioplys, Sandra Leonard, John Colson, Brian Ritchard, Susannah Papish, Sal Campbell and Baird Campbell are some of the artists who have signed up.
