St. Barnabas Students Return To School Wednesday
Students were back in class at St. Barnabas one day after the school closed due to a number of illnesses.

CHICAGO (BEVERLY) — Students were back in class at St. Barnabas Catholic School in Beverly on Wednesday, one day after the school was closed and an "e-Learning" day held due to several students and staff members becoming ill.
More than 130 students, about a quarter of the student body, were sent home on Monday after becoming ill with various sicknesses such as influenza A/B, strep and stomach flu. Some staff members were sick as well, and school officials made the call Monday night to cancel school for the following day.
A receptionist at the school confirmed Wednesday morning that school was back in session, but did not have information on how many absences had been reported.
