St. Christina Plans Open House for Catholic Schools Week
St. Christina kicks off Catholic Schools Week with open house, Mass, schools tours on Sunday, Jan. 29.

CHICAGO, IL -- St. Christina School in Mt. Greenwood will kick off National Catholic Schools Week with tours and a Mass for prospective families Sunday, Jan. 29. This year’s theme is “St. Christina … Our Magic Kingdom, Where Dreams From True.”
The Sunday starts with tours at 9 a.m., mass at 10 a.m. and an open house at 11 a.m. St. Christina is also hosting a reception for alumni parents and grandparents of students currently attending the school. Approximately one-third of St. Christina students come from alumni families. The reception will be held from 2 to 5 p.m., with a group picture at 3 p.m.
National Catholic Schools Week is the annual celebration of Catholic education in the United States. It starts the last Sunday in January and runs all week, which in 2017 is Jan. 29 - Feb. 4.

Schools typically observe the annual celebration week with Masses, open houses and other activities for students, families, parishioners and community members. Through these events, schools focus on the value Catholic education provides to young people and its contributions to our church, our communities and our nation.
St. Christina also has a whole week of school activities planned for students, each day with a different Disney theme. The school is located at 3333 W. 110th St., Chicago.
