St. Ignatius Closed Thursday Due To Weather

The college preparatory school was the only one in Chicagoland listed as closed due to weather as of 10 p.m. Wednesday.

CHICAGO — Students at St. Ignatius College Prep, 1076 Roosevelt Road, will not have school on Thursday, Feb. 13 due to the bad weather forecast. The college preparatory school was the only one in Chicagoland to be listed as closed due to weather on Thursday as of 10 p.m. Wednesday, the Emergency Closing Center shows.

A few other schools and religious institutions canceled classes Wednesday night as snow began to come in to the Chicagoland area.

Snow began to move into the area around 3 p.m. Wednesday. Bitterly cold temperatures immediately began to follow and are expected to continue through the end of Thursday, when winch chills could hit 10 to 20 below zero.
