St. Rita Star Student Athlete Takes Time Out To Help Neighbors

CHICAGO — We all know student athletes who also bring their A-game to other parts of their lives.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. We’re working to let all your neighbors know the individual stories behind the leaderboard.

Why do you believe the star student athlete should be recognized?

JP is an all around great kid. He helps the elderly neighbor with her garbage every week, always says hello to everyone on the block. He is an Honors student at St Rita High School. He plays football #85 and his mom is always showing videos of all his sacks every week. He is also a pitcher for the St Rita baseball team as a 6’4” lefty. He also plays travel baseball. I just would love to recognize him because that family is always running somewhere for a practice of some sort, and he’s a great student. I believe he is worthy of a mention. Thank you!!! Oh, and his golf swing/game is the envy of all the men on the block.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star student athlete?

He is not only a great student/athlete but an all around great kid!!
