State Lawmakers Host Thanksgiving Food Drive For Area Families

Residents may drop off non-perishable food items at Sen. Bill Cunningham and Rep. Fran Hurley's offices in Chicago and Orland Park.

CHICAGO, IL -- State Sen. Bill Cunningham (18th District) and State Rep. Fran Hurley (35th District) will be collecting food donations at their constituent offices in Chicago and Orland Park starting Nov. 1 through Nov. 20. The food will be distributed to local food pantries in Oak Lawn, Orland, Evergreen Park and Morgan Park, which are preparing for the Thanksgiving season.

“I think it is important that we do what we can to help people in need,” Cunningham said. “This food drive is just one of the many things you can do to help out your neighbors this Thanksgiving.”

Residents may drop off non-perishable food items and monetary donations, including gift cards to local supermarkets, at the following locations:
