Stop Sign Placed On Longwood Near St. Barnabas

CHICAGO, IL - A new stop sign has been placed along Longwood Drive in Beverly. A stop will now be enforced at Longwood and 101st Place, near the entrance of St. Barnabas Church. It is the result of much discussion about speeding issues on Longwood during school drop-off and dismissal hours, according to a social media post from the Beverly Ridge Homeowners Association.

Michelle Brett Page said the BRHA initiated conversations with the school and the 19th Ward Office "to make a change for the safety of our children, families and community."

"We hope this will reduce speed on Longwood Drive at all hours of the day."
