SXU 2017 Golf Classic Tees Off Aug. 1

CHICAGO, IL -- Saint Xavier University will be teeing off its 21st annual golf classic on Aug. 1. The outing features a day of golf, dinner and laughs at the Silver Lake Country Club in Orland Park. Proceeds will benefit SXU student scholarships. Community members are invited to register and participate.

Registration for individual golfers is $300, which includes green fees, cart, continental breakfast, lunch on the course, and dinner. If you can’t make the outing, attend the dinner for $50. Participants can also purchase raffle tickets for a chance to win electronics, overnight trip packages and golf paraphernalia.
Dinner and hole sponsorships are available, which will go toward helping deserving students achieve their dream of a college education.

Special Guest MC is comedian Jim Flannigan, whose quick wit and smart humor have made him a mainstay at the top comedy clubs around the country including Zanies, The Improv, The Laugh Factory and Brad Garrett's Comedy Club in Las Vegas. In 2016, he performed at some of the biggest comedy festivals in the country including Gilda's LaughFest and The Great American Comedy Festival, honoring the late Johnny Carson. He has appeared on ABC, WGN and WCIU-TV and co-hosts the official Chicago White Sox Podcast, "The Cycle," available on mlb.com and iTunes.

Since 1997, the Saint Xavier University Golf Classic has raised more than one million dollars for student scholarships. Join us and experience a great day of golf and fellowship with friends and colleagues while we raise money to support SXU student scholarships.

SXU’s golf classic will go on, rain or shine. Check-in is at 7 a,m, to 7:30 a.m., with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. The reception, dinner, prizes and raffle drawing will follow from 3 to 5:30 p.m. Register now or download and print the registration form (PDF).
