SXU hosted its 12th Annual Breakfast with your Legislators
The legislators fielded audience questions on a variety of topics: Illinois state budget, higher education and high-profile community crime.
More than 50 guests participated in a networking session and breakfast with Chicagoland elected officials at the 12th Annual Breakfast with your Legislators on Thursday, November 30 at Saint Xavier University’s (SXU) Chicago campus, 3700 West 103rd Street.
Legislators in attendance included: State Senators Bill Cunningham and Mike Hastings; State Representative Kelly Burke; Cook County Board Commissioner John Daley; and Chicago Alderman Matt O’Shea. The panel discussion was moderated by former State Senator Edward D. Maloney.
The legislators fielded audience questions on a variety of topics including the Illinois state budget, higher education and what is being done to address recent high-profile community crime. Additionally, the officials discussed their projections for the Illinois state budget for the next fiscal year and what initiatives will be funded.
