CHICAGO, IL - Saint Xavier University Women’s Basketball Head Coach Bob Hallberg has won more than 1,000 games in his career as a college and high school basketball head coach.

Hallberg has been coaching for 46 years, all in Chicago. He’s been at the helm of men’s programs at Kennedy High School, SXU, Chicago State University and the University of Illinois-Chicago. For the last 16 years, he has led the SXU women’s program while also serving as the school’s athletic director.

That No. 1 ranking came 32 years after leading the Chicago State men to the top ranking.

Right now, Hallberg’s career win total stands at 1,005 as SXU stands at a perfect 12-0 on the season. The team is currently ranked No. 6 in the NAIA.
