Tasting Thursday Benefits Christmas Without Cancer
Local Families Facing Cancer Gain Support from CWC

Binny’s Beverages of Evergreen Park will host its Fifth Annual Tasting to benefit local nonprofit Christmas Without Cancer Thursday, November 8, 2018 from 6 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
“We are so proud to support Christmas Without Cancer,” said Binny’s store manager Jeff Bogdan. “The many families we help through Christmas Without Cancer are local, and that certainly feels right.”
Binny’s tradition of showcasing “staff favorites” in wine, spirits and beer for tastings has prompted many to stock up for the holidays while also benefiting the Christmas Without Cancer mission.

A $10 donation benefits ChristmasWithoutCancer.org. Supporters gain instant entry into the sampling areas and are entered into a raffle with dozens of top shelf door prizes. Binny’s is located at 3447 West 95th Street, Evergreen Park.
Next up on the Christmas Without Cancer busy calendar is an initiative Beverly Records conceived with a local brewery. Argus Brewery in the historic Pullman District will open it doors Saturday, November 17 from noon until 4 p.m. The owners of Argus are generously inviting and hosting an all-Chicago Record Store Day. Tastings and tours will run concurrent with record shopping.

According to Argus Brewing and Beverly Records, the goal is to provide important funds for Christmas Without Cancer, and, build awareness regarding the benefits of shopping for rare, used records, pointing out the green sensibilities of “source reduction and re-use.” It’s also a prime time to place advance orders for exclusive vinyl offerings.
“In the spirit of Christmas, Argus is embracing a non-profit that comes to the rescue of families challenged by cancer at Christmas,” said Jack Dreznes of Beverly Records. “Argus joins in the efforts by designating portions of beer sales.”
There is a suggested $5 entrance fee donation for the tour, shopping and entrance to the tasting room.
