Teen Girl Escapes Kidnapping In Morgan Park

Three men, one of them armed, forced a 16-year-old girl into their car near 111th and Throop before the girl escaped and called her mother.

CHICAGO, IL - A teenage girl who was walking a friend home from majorette practice in the city's Morgan Park neighborhood on Wednesday was abducted by three men, one of them armed, in a car and escaped moments later. Chicago police have released descriptions of three offenders who grabbed the 16-year-old around 111th and Throop and tossed her in a 4-door Dodge vehicle before the victim escaped.

The man who grabbed the victim from behind is described as black, in his 20s with a dark complexion, light brown eyes and wearing blue jeans and an orange shirt. He also had an arm sleeve tattoo, according to police.

Another man, the driver of the car who also grabbed the victim's legs, is also black and in his 20s. He has a light complexion and curly hair and was wearing white pants and a red shirt at the time of the kidnapping, police said.

A third man, this one armed in the back seat of the car, is also black and in his 20s. He had a medium brown complexion and deep voice and was wearing black ripped jeans, and a blue shirt. He has a cast on his knee.

The girl was grabbed from behind just a few blocks east of Interstate 57 on 111th Street around 5:40 p.m. on Oct. 3. A second man grabbed her by the legs and tossed her into the parked tan car while the third man remained in the back seat of the car with a black handgun.

The abductors took the girl what police described as "a short distance" before she was able to escape, call her mother and report the incident to police at the 22nd District police station just blocks away.
