Two Chicago Cops Under Criminal Probe for Child Porn, Prostitution

Two veteran Chicago police officers are the subject of a criminal probe for child pornography and prostitution.

Both officers have been relieved of their police powers and reassigned to paid desk duty while the investigation continues. A department representative confirmed that an investigation is taking place but would not reveal the nature of the investigation, ABC 7 reported.

Neither officer has been charged with any wrongdoing.

The FBI is also said to be working the Chicago Police Department’s Internal Affairs Division in the criminal probe.

The allegations stem from the sex trafficking of an underage girl during the officers’ off-duty hours. A source familiar with the investigation told the TV news station that investigators are looking into the role both officers may have played in connection to a 14-year-old girl soliciting prostitution on a website.

News reports say that both officers have been with the department for more than 20 years, according to city records.

The FBI would neither confirm or deny if an investigation is taking place.
