Valentine d'Ogries and the Stained Glass Windows of Historic St. Thomas the Apostle Church

Historic St. Thomas the Apostle Parish is proud to welcome Sarah Bond to speak on, Valentine d'Ogries and the Stained Glass Windows of St. Thomas the Apostle. Sarah is an art historian and parishioner of St. Thomas the Apostle parish. She received her B.A. from Williams College in the History of Ideas and her M.A./Ph.D. from Harvard University in the History of Art and Architecture, specializing in medieval art.
This lecture continues our series on the art and architecture of St. Thomas the Apostle Church. Sarah joins the ranks of other esteemed experts such as Vince Michael, Tim Samuelson, David Jameson, Richard Cahan, and Denis McNamara, who together weave the rich story of our parish and its place as an architectural gem of Chicago.
The event will be held in Hyde Park on Thursday, January 23, 2014 at 7:00 pm at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 5472 S. Kimbark Avenue. Parking is available in the church lot on the NE corner of 55th Street and South Woodlawn Avenue. Light refreshments will be served. This event is free and open to the public. All are welcome.
