Volunteers To Distribute Flyers Seeking Tips in Young Woman's Murder
Chicago police, Cook County Crime Stoppers and volunteers will distribute flyers Saturday seeking information in murder of Aaren O'Connor.

Chicago police and the Cook County Crime Stoppers will be distributing flyers on Saturday in the Heart of Chicago neighborhood in the hopes of getting more information about the tragic homicide of a 25-year-old woman.
Aaren O’Connor was found shot to death in her car in the 2000 block of West 21st Street around 6:30 .m. Feb. 5. The young woman was struck dead by an errant bullet to her head as she spoke to her family back home in San Diego.

A San Diego native, O’Connor had relocated to Chicago to be closer to her boyfriend, despite her father’s worries about the city’s street violence.
Police do not believe that O’Connor was the intended target. No arrests or charges have been made.

Area Central Detectives and crime stopper volunteers will be joined by the young woman’s family, friends and co-workers at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at 2000 W. 21st St. This is the Cook County Crime Stoppers first attempt at distributing fliers in the case.
Aaren’s parents are making a plea to the community for their help and support: “Help us please. We need answers for our girl before something like this happens again.”
