When Do Beverly and Mt. Greenwood Schools Start Spring Break

Just a reminder to residents that parochial school students from Beverly, Mt. Greenwood and Morgan Park will be starting spring break, which means there will be more kids on the street and in the parks.

Spring break coincides with the Easter holiday, with schools off for Good Friday, March 25, and continuing next week through April 1. Classes will resume April 4.

The area’s Catholic high schools -- St. Laurence, Queen of Peace, Marist, Brother Rice, Mother McAuley, St. Rita -- will also be on break during that time as well.

CPS schools will still be in session. Chicago public school students are scheduled to go on break April 18 through April 22.

So give the kids a “brake” when you’re out and about during the next week.
