Bloomington police respond to false active shooter report at local school (centralillinoisproud.com) — Bloomington police say a frightening report of an active shooter at Bloomington Junior High School Friday turned out to be a swatting hoax, and no students were in the building. Multiple local agencies quickly searched the school, found no threat, and are now investigating who made the false call while asking anyone with information to contact detectives.
