1 Dead After Bolingbrook House Fire On Monday

BOLINGBROOK, IL — One person is dead after a house fire on Monday in Bolingbrook.

Firefighters arrived at the home at 6:09 a.m. on South Orchard Drive, and found heavy smoke and fire in the attic and second floor of a two-story, single-family home, according to a news release. It was also reported that there was a possible victim inside the home.

Firefighters began suppression and search and rescue operations; and crews encountered heavy smoke and fire on the second floor of the home, according to the release.

One person was found dead in a rear bedroom of the home, the department said.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
