22 Bolingbrook HS Students Commit to Play College Sports

Twenty-two Bolingbrook High School student athletes signed letters of intent today to continue their athletic endeavors at a college or university in the fall.

●Baseball: Outfielder Lovell Chandler, University of Wisconsin/Parkside, 2 year varsity starter (.375 BA, 10 SB, 15 Runs Scored); Outfielder DeMarco Mong , McHenry Community College, 2 year varsity starter - (.370 BA, 10 SB, 14 Runs Scored, 9 RBI, 2 HR, 4 2B, 1 3B); Right handed pitcher Juan Garcia, Harper Community College, 2 years on varsity - (1-1, 3.26 ERA, 13 K’s); Left handed pitcher Eric Calip, University of Indiana/South Bend, 2 years on varsity - (3.51 ERA, 10 K’s); Second baseman Matt Strzechowski, Rock Valley Community College, 2 years on varsity - (.386 BA, 4 2B, 10 RBI, 10 Runs Scored); and Left handed pitcher Mark Gaskins, Cornerstone University, 2 years on varsity - (1-0, 3.21 ERA, 10 K’s)

●Boys basketball: Brodric Thomas, Truman State University, 4th Team All-State (IBCA), Voyager Media All-Star Game, 1st Team All Area (Voyager Media), 1st Team All SWSC, 2nd Team Joliet Herald

●Girls Basketball: Alecia Gulledge, Butler Community College and Bennita Drain, Lincoln Trail Community College

●Girls Volleyball: Megan Bielawski, California Lutheran University

●Boys Volleyball: Enrique Barajas, Briar Cliff University and Anthony Navarro, Hannibal-LaGrange University

●Girls Soccer: Caroline Harvey, Carleton College
