4 DUIs, Thefts At Macy's, Meijer: Police Blotter

Here's your look at criminal activity during the last week of January.

BOLINGBROOK, IL - The following incidents were investigated by Bolingbrook Police during the last week of January. This information was supplied by the police agency.

Jan. 22

Officers were called to Costco, 830 E. Boughton Rd., for the report of a retail theft. Someone selected a package of bed sheets and exited the store at 5 p.m. without rendering payment. Loss valued at $68.

Jan. 25

Salvador Vivar-Barradas, 27, 305A Woodcreek Dr. was charged with and DUI, following a traffic stop at Canterbury Ln. & New Castle Ln. at 2:30 a.m.

Jan. 26

Veronica Garibary, 27, 3344 W Pierce Ave., Chicago, was charged with improper lane usage and two counts of DUI, following a traffic stop at Rodeo Dr. & Essington Rd. at 3:33 a.m.

  • Martin Ortiz, 36, 808 Parkview Dr., Rockdale, was charged with a DUI, following a traffic stop on the 300 block of Commons Dr. at 7:18 a.m.
  • Officers responded to Meijer, 755 E. Boughton Rd. for the report of a retail theft. Someone placed numerous electronic items and a cordless vacuum in a shopping cart and exited the store at 3:30 a.m. without rendering payment. Loss valued at $1700.


Jan. 29

Matthew Litster, 48, 151 Thackeray Dr., was charged with two counts of DUI, illegal transportation of alcohol and failure to reduce speed, following a traffic stop at Boughton Rd. & Brookwood Ln. at 3:51 p.m.

Jan. 31

Zozislaw Platos, 39, 8500 W. 95th St., Hickory Hills, was charged with aggravated domestic battery, resisting a peace officer and interference with emergency communication, following a call for a domestic dispute on the 300 block of Woodcreek Dr. at 2:45 p.m.

Tanesha Russell, 27, 8112 Waterbury Ct., Woodridge, was charged with retail theft from Macy’s, 645 E. Boughton Rd. at 2:52 p.m.
