$62K Approved For Spring Tree Replacement In Bolingbrook
150 trees will be planted as part of the program.
BOLINGBROOK, IL — The Bolingbrook Village Board approved a $62,250 proposal for the planting of 150 trees on main streets through the Village, at its Tuesday board meeting.
The lowest proposal for the spring tree replacement comes from J. Hassert Landscaping.
Trustee Michael Lawler said five proposal requests were mailed out, and three were returned.

"This is going to consist of 150 trees of varying species," Lawler said. Diseased and damaged trees are replaced as part of the program.
Another replacement program is offered in the fall, Lawler said.

"The important thing here is that we have a variety of species in this replacement program. Some of you may remember that we had to replace tens of thousands of trees [after] the Emerald Ash Borer parasite," Lawler said.
