As part of Monday's sentencing, the state flew in one of McGuire’s previous victims from Arizona who testified about the assault she suffered back in 1973, the state's attorney's office said.
“William McGuire Jr. is an incredibly dangerous predator who made a violent entry into the victim’s home after following her from the grocery store.” Will County State's Attorney James Glasgow said in a release. “She miraculously escaped after a life and death struggle. This sentence guarantees he will never again prey upon innocent women as he stares at the dark, cold walls of his prison cell.”
