Activities Highlight Bolingbrook School's College Week
Events include a mock dorm room and classroom conversations with former college students.
Tibbott students are preparing for the Bolingbrook elementary school’s annual College Week in two weeks.
Activities throughout the week include:
●Visits to the school’s mock dorm room
●Classroom conversations with former college students
●Writing lessons involving college
●A daily “Guess that Fight Song” game during morning announcements.
●At-home projects that will allow students to view dorm rooms designed/built by other students
●College-related Art and PE activities including pennant and mascot mask-making
Each day will have a theme
●Oct. 26th: Pep rally day. Everyone will wear their classroom’s college colors.
The Tibbott staff cheer team will also perform its traditional cheer.
●Oct. 27: Students will make their own college ID cards to wear during the day.
●Oct. 28: (Tenative) Touch the Truck event during recess time. Also Parent University Night and Family Book Night.
●Oct. 29: Throwback Thursday. Students will be able to see pictures of staff members from their college days.
●Oct. 30: Classroom virtual tours of college campuses
