Army Specialist Ryan Springs Surprise Reunion on First-Grade Son in School Cafeteria
Beverly Skoff Elementary School teacher Tracy Mazalewski says it was "one of the most wonderful things I have had the joy of witnessing at work."
Beverly Skoff Elementary School 1st grader Riley Ryan was in for a big surprise last Thursday.
Riley thought his dad, Army E4 Specialist Jeff Ryan, was in Afghanistan. But when his mom, Megan, learned her husband was coming home, she and the Skoff “team” arranged a surprise reunion in the school cafeteria right after lunch.
“It was truly one of the most wonderful things I have ever had the joy of witnessing at work,” said Riley’s teacher Tracy Mazalewski.

Specialist Ryan will be home for a short time and has agreed to be one of the presenters at Skoff's Career Day on Nov. 1, which is the day before the annual Skoff Veterans' Day Pancake Breakfast from 8 to 10 a.m.
