Bolingbrook Boy, 8, Killed In ATV Fire: Coroner
Two children were riding the ATV in Pembroke Township, when it caught on fire, according to the coroner.
BOLINGBROOK, IL — A Bolingbrook eight-year-old was killed in an ATV fire in Pembroke Township on Sunday, according to the Kankakee County Coroner's Office.
The juvenile has been identified as Dedrick Vazquez, of Bolingbrook.
The coroner's office said that at 2:15 p.m. Sunday, the Kankakee County Sheriff's Department and Pembroke Township Fire Department were called to an ATV fire in the 12000 block of East Central Street in Pembroke Township.

When they arrived, first responders found that two juveniles were riding on the ATV when the vehicle caught on fire, the coroner's office said. One juvenile was able to escape, however, the second, Dedrick Vazquez, was found dead.
An autopsy was performed Tuesday. The incident remains under investigation by the Kankakee County Coroner’s Office and Kankakee County Sheriff’s Department.
