Bolingbrook Caps Season With Win, Third Place State Finish

For a team that nobody expected much from, Bolingbrook High School’s boys varsity basketball team stunned the local sports pundits by not only making it to the IHSA state basketball playoffs, but finishing third in the 2015 Class 4A tournament.

Fans welcomed the Raiders home on Sunday afternoon with a police escort to a rally celebrating a wonderful year after Bolingbrook’s first-ever excursion to the boys’ basketball state finals.

Bolingbrook High School coach Rob Brost perhaps summed it up best on Sunday afternoon:

“The character of our kids was apparent throughout the tournament, as well as during the regular season,” the coach said.
