Bolingbrook Chamber donates $1,000 in restaurant gift cards
Encouraging community to give to front line AMITA Health Adventist Medical Center Bolingbrook teams
The Bolingbrook Area Chamber of Commerce (BACC) recently donated $1,000 in restaurant gift cards to AMITA Health Adventist Medical Center Bolingbrook front line teams.
In partnership with AMITA Bolingbrook and Bolingbrook Bank & Trust, a Wintrust Bank, BACC invites anyone who would like to support our community's healthcare professionals for their hard work on the front lines to consider dropping off restaurant gift cards at Bolingbrook Bank & Trust, 198 S Bolingbrook Dr., Bolingbrook.
“The staff at AMITA has been working tirelessly since COVID-19 erupted in the state,” said BACC Executive Director Kevin O’Keeffe. "It feels good to be able to treat them to some frozen custard from Andy’s.”
With the Illinois Stay-at-Home order extended to April 30, Will County is currently reporting a total of 1,012 confirmed cases with 44 deaths, according to WJOL.
“Everyone, every person and every business, is affected by COVID,” said O’Keeffe. “One of the hardest hit is the restaurant, entertainment and hospitality industry. The gift cards show our support for AMITA and our local restaurants. The Chamber, our board of directors and several Chamber members were glad to donate.”
AMITA staff will be able to enjoy a variety of foods from Bar Louie Bolingbrook, Chick-Fil-A of Bolingbrook, Buona Beef of Bolingbrook, Andy’s Frozen Custard, Olive Garden, Home Run Inn, Mod Pizza and Dickey's Barbecue Pit.
