Bolingbrook Man Taken Into ICE Custody After Kane County Courthouse Appearance: Reports
Orlando Manriquez-Valdivia, 38, was still listed in ICE custody as of Monday, according to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
BOLINGBROOK, IL — A Bolingbrook man who had appeared in Kane County court on Thursday in a DUI case was taken into ICE custody at the courthouse, Shaw Local reported.
Orlando Manriquez-Valdivia, 38, was still listed in ICE custody as of Monday, according to the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement locator website. Manriquez-Valdivia has Mexico as his listed country of birth, and Kane County court records listed him as a foreign national.
Manriquez-Valdivia had just pleaded guilty to one count of aggravated DUI on Thursday, court records showed.

Officials from Homeland Security Investigations called for a sheriff's deputy to translate for them about a warrant, officials told Shaw Local. After reporting to probation after court to check in, he was apprehended after explanation of the warrant, according to the outlet.
According to Kane County court records, Manriquez-Valdivia had pleaded guilty to aggravated DUI, which is a class 4 felony. The incident happened on August 2024, and included multiple charges including misdemeanor of driving on a suspended license and DUI, and aggravated DUI for suspended license and no driver's license.

As part of his pleading guilty, Manriquez-Valdivia was sentenced to 24 months probation and 15 days in jail, with credit given for two days he previously spent in jail after his Aug, 3, 2024 arrest. He was also fined and ordered to be under SCRAM (Secure Continuous Remote Alcohol Monitoring) alcohol monitoring.
